Dude, no wonder you're having performance issues. Texture Cache set to SAFE is super tough on your computer and it's not needed at all for the game or the texture pack. Put it on FAST and you should win a lot of room for gfx enhancement.
Is this still true? I notice no difference between SAFE and FAST.
