Howdy, peoples.
So my goal is to play the Metroid Prime Trilogy vis a vie my XboxOne controller, and so far, mapping controls is working fine, controller is being recognized and all.
My question is; is there a way to have a 'held' button prompt something like an 'alternate' control scheme? For example, if I hold down my LB button on my controller, could it make it so flicking the right stick up/down etc would register as 'motion control', then letting go of the button sets it back to IR aim? I know Steam's Controller settings has options like this, and it's the only way I can imagine having like, five separate forms of motion control (via a nunchuk+wiimote) could possibly all get bound to a controller.
Metroid Prime 3 isn't *super* reliant on motion controls, aside from aiming, which is easily enough bound to my right analog stick, but it does semi-often require the use of a 'grapple' which uses the motion of the nunchuck to 'yank' enemies and objects around, so without having some way to emulate that motion control effectively, I'm stuck swapping control binds mid-game to get through certain bosses/puzzles.
I've never played Prime 1/2 via the Trilogy so I have no idea if they'll require motion controls (again, aside from aiming) either, I assume they won't, since it's just a port, but I'd still like to make sure.
Any help is much appreciated, I've prodded around in the control mapping a bit but I'm feeling like I must be blind, since this seems like an "obvious" way to make motion controls work on a more standard controller, and is already something Steam's Controller Binding Options has, pretty sure Xpadder does it as well.
Cheers!
