I'm somewhat of a "noob" when it comes to emulators, even more so when it comes to Dolphin.
Just downloaded it earlier today and it works great so far, other that the fact that I can't use my Xbox360 controller.
I plugged it in with the standard USB cable and installed the drivers, but Dolphin can't find any "X360 pads" when I try to configure it.

Any advice on what I can do to make it work?

Try restarting your computer, then click "Start > Devices and Printers" and check to see if your controller is listed there. If so, make sure you have it set as your preferred device.
Intel Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz w/ 2GB RAM
nVidia nForce 780i SLI FTW motherboard
Two nVidia GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB GPU's in SLI
Windows 7: Ultimate x64

Thanks for the quick answer but it still won't work.
I have installed the Microsoft Xbox 360 Accessories Status program, and it says I should be
able to use the controller but the program can't find it either.
And the help you get from the program sucks balls (no surprise there).
They claim that when i connect a controller it will automatically assign a "quadrant of light" to the controller, but nothing happens.
So I tried turning on the controller manually, and all it does is blinking with all four quadrants (as if you we're starting your Xbox).
I've restarted my system a couple of times without any results at all.
I'm getting pretty annoyed here :/

If you are using that cable, what JADS is probably getting at is, that cable won't work for using your 360 controller on a pc. It is only meant for charging with.

Wireless controllers can't be used with a cable. They need the "Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver" for use with a PC. (I have it, works great Tongue)

Thanks!
Found the product, cheapest sells for about $80 though. Think it's cheaper to buy one of those "Xbox-like" USB pads for PC, do they work allright?

If by '"Xbox-like" USB pads for PC' you mean the official microsoft pads, They work on Xbox 360 and PC, all of the Xbox 360 wired controllers will work on PC.
