xbox360 controller problems

I get an in-game image requesting to plug in the analog stick controller to the other controller (sorry, not familiar with wii controllers or their wii names). In the controller setup I'm using emulated wiimote, and have extension set to classic and configured. The game first ask to press "A" on the controller, then I get this (see attachment). Sorry if this has been asked before, but I haven't found the same problem addressed so far, and I'm not familiar with the proper terminology/names to possibly do a more helpful search.
