xbox360 controller not working

Hi everyone, I'm at a loss for words. For some reason, I cannot get my Xbox 360 controller to work with Xenoblades on Dolphin. I don't have any other games so I can't test if this is game specific. Attached is a screenshot of my controller settings. It lets me map the controllers to the inputs within the settings, but I start up the game and it just never recognizes any inputs .

Can anyone help?

I'm using the 4.0-5369 version of Dolphin. My 360 controller is a normal one, and has been successfully used for many Steam games.

For a millionth time in the forums, the answer is the same, xenoblade doesn't support the gamecube controller. It supports wiimote and wii classic controller, set controls for either in dolphin and choose also ingame which of the two you are using. I wonder why there are so many people that take for granted that wii games support gamecube controls and don't even try to set wii controls.
