Hi all first post. Smile

Ok should have done the search thing first. I now realize the GC controller config won't work with this game so does any one happen to have a good config file for this game?

As shown on the wiki, NHL 2k11 supports bunches of controller options, but not the GameCube Controller! You will need to set up an emulated classic controller (as an extension to an emulated wiimote) to play the game. Or you could set up an emulated wiimote and nunchuk, I suppose, but that wouldn't control as well.

Thanks. Under wiimote config. I see emulated wiimote, real wiimote and hybrid wiimote. I'm working on emulated wiimote would that seem to be the one? Sorry but I have no idea.

Yes. First pick Emulated Wiimote, then press Configure and select Classic as the extension, then configure that. Real Wiimote and Hybrid Wiimote are only for usage with an actual Wiimote.

Thanks not sure how I missed that, I will now attempt to configure a classic controller. What should I do on the first page when I select emulated wiimote/configure, do I fill in any values there, leave default or put everything blank?

What you fill in for the Wiimote doesn't really matter.

So I have most everything working now except the D-Pad. For some reason it will only respond to the left movement. For instance when you go to the in-game screen to select your team if I press up/down/right it does nothing but pressing left starts the "team select" scrolling with no way to stop it. I did try using the R stick as D-pad input with the same results. Any ideas if this is game specific issue?

Can you show screenshots of your emulated wiimote and classic controller extension screens?

I left the wiimote config blank, for some reason my controller (XInput/0/Gamepad) isn't showing up in the device selection in this screen but it was selected. I did try with wiimote screen filled in as well but was told this area shouldn't matter. I'm using the 4.0.2 emulator.

You should have the L and R buttons and analog L and R buttons on the same buttons on your controller. And um, why is so much blank in that screenshot? Did you alter it? There's a lot of things that could be affecting this that are just not visible. Sad
