Please read the entire post before commenting a potential fix, as I have outlined all my attempts to solve this issue. I would appreciate it.
I've looked through every existing troubleshooting method that I can find both here and on reddit forums, as well as youtube and google.
I've troubleshooted every single possible solution that I know of, and still have the same error where the controller itself is detected, but there is no input when I attempt to map it to dolphin.
I've tried running Dolphin as an admin, updating to the newest version (5.0-19368 as well as 5.0-19720 both for x64 windows which I am sure I have.) using a bluetooth dongle, and connecting the controller directly to my PC through it's internal bluetooth system. I am not aware of any other ways to connect a wireless controller to my PC. I've tried 3 different controllers, and all my different USB ports. I will select "gamecube controller at port 1" to configure, and tried cycling through every available device (SDL/0/Xbox One S Controller, WGInput/0/HID-compliant game controller, XInput/0/Gamepad, and DInput/0/Bluetooth XINPUT compatible input device) with all 3 available controllers. Dolphin is just NOT picking up any of the inputs.
I have tested the controllers themselves by using gamepad-tester.com and they are all working as they should.
It's a little frustrating that a random website can detect my controllers, but this software that I've been using for years does not.
I have ensured that I connect and power the controllers on before trying to map them using the emulator, updating the drivers for my controller, re-installing xbox accessories on my PC, re-installing gaming services on my PC, rebooting my PC, rebooting Dolphin itself, re-installing dolphin, updating to the developer version, and regressing the version to an older version.
That's every trick in my book, and I just can't seem to get anything working.
Does anyone have advice or a potential solution? I'd really appreciate hearing it.
