Well, I feel pretty noob having to ask this question because I've probably overlooked something incredibly simple. Brand new to this emulator so have mercy lol.

I can't "start" a game with my wired Xbox One controller and I'm not sure why.

My controller works for other emulators so I know It's not defective. I've tried plugging it in to other USB ports/restarting
my computer and it still doesn't work.

I've looked at numerous controller set-up guides. I have "XInput/0/Gamepad" selected with a "Start" button enabled.

The Buttons/Control Stick/C Stick/Triggers/D-Pad are all set-up how they should be and I've saved the profile.

Yet when I load a game and press "start" nothing happens. Pressing all of the other buttons doesn't do anything either.

See attachment.

Help appreciated. ;- )

All of those games require you to set up a Wii Remote, but you've set up a GameCube controller.

Doh, I knew it had to be something stupid. ;x
Thanks for clearing that up.

Question - I'm looking at the game compatibility ratings on the Dolphin website and I see that New Super Mario Bros Wii is rated 5/5 "perfect" yet in the Dolphin emulator it's 4/5 "state"
Shouldn't it be 5/5 state?

It should, but the ratings inside Dolphin haven't been synced with the wiki for a few years now.

Ah ok, I figured it was something like that. So I should just pay attention to the compatibility ratings on this website and ignore the dolphin GUI "State" ratings then I take it.
