Xbox One Controller causes slowdown on Wii Games

I just joined the forum to ask this question, except I have an Xbox 360 Controller.

I was using an old Saitek p990 and Dolphin was running like a dream but the Saitek wasn't working with my modern PC games such as NBA 2K16, so I went and got an Xbox 360 controller, Windows 10 installed the drivers and now Dolphin runs like crap.
Hopefully this can be fixed soon..
