xbox controller plug in

I know its probably been answered but I searched and didnt find a great answer to my question.

All I am going to have to play with is my wired 360 controller. How well does it work for say LOZTP? I think im going to do the GC version. I read something about a plug in. Usually plug ins are extensions that need to be downloaded separately is this the case here?

That controller works fine, search for some threads that talk about it in this section.

Plugins are no longer a part of Dolphin, everything you need is all there for you in the emulator download. Just make sure to update your MS Visual C++ Runtime to 2010 SP1 and your DirectX runtime to the June 2010 update so that you have no errors or problems running the emulator.

I did do a search for xbox 360 controller but what I saw was pretty mixed or specific to just one type of prob or game. Ill give it a shot I think Ill run the emulator tomorrow and set it up. Thanks
