I setup a sideways config for my wireless 360 that seemed to work well for New Super Mario Bros. with the only issue being when the in game menu displayed a dialogue to continue or exit world it was not possible to move the selection. I found this strange as Mario definitely responded to using up and down on the left stick and Dpads in game. Is there something I need to configure for this?
When I then tried to play Mario Kart Wii the same config did not work. I found some config suggestions online, although Windows based, and I tried to interpret what they should be for Ubuntu 18.04.
Honestly, I am sure I do not have either config set up correctly which is why I am posting. I would prefer to never use the Nunchuk or IR and always play emulating a sideways Wiimote. Is there a generally accepted best universal config out there for sideways wiimote use I can use for all or most games so I do not have to swap?
Also, although Mario Kart was working on my desktop, and it did run on my Nvidia Shield using Steamlink, the game did not respond to the controllers, although normal non dolphin games work fine. Is there something extra I need to do to get the controllers working on the Steam Link?
