Xbox 360 controller (wired) force feedback broken on Linux

Greetings!

I've been using Dolphin on Linux (specifically Mint 17.1) w/ Kernel 3.16 and Xboxdrv (the current latest) and everything used to be fine. I could finish Resident Evil and MGS: The Twin Snakes flawlessly with minor slowdowns, even on my relatively weak hardware and my Xbox 360 controller worked reeeeeally fine WITH RUMBLE. (it's enabled, I can test it with fftest too).
Now a few days ago I tried the latest revision and rumble was no longer working!
Now I'm on Ubuntu 14.04.1 /w Kernel 3.13 and the same xboxdrv settings and it's still not working in dolphin. I even recompiled from source, with no success.
Is it broken or a problem on my part? It really makes a positive difference in games, I would hate missing this fine feature, especially since I finally have a rumble-capable controller. (I just switched from a Logitech Dual ACtion recently)

My xboxdrv options are: xboxdrv --device-name 'Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller' --force-feedback --controller-slot 0 --deadzone 15% --led 2 --ff-device joystick --no-extra-devices --rumble-gain 100%

But since there were no changes in either xboxdrv or my system, I suspect dolphin.

There's a screenshot attached. It shows two available rumble modes, none of which is working.

Any ideas, suggestions?
