Xbox 360 Controller not working

Hi guys, I'm new and having some trouble with getting my PC Xbox 360 controller working with the games. So far I have tried Mario Galaxy 2 and New Super Mario Brothers Wii and both do not work. The most that's happened is the left stick will move me around, and the "B" button on the controller made Mario run to the left in New Super Mario Brothers Wii. I will attach a picture of my controller setup and to me it appears correct, but I cant get it to work and I don't know why for the life of me.

Thanks for any and all help! Smile

Well at least part of the issue is that you're trying to use an emulated GameCube Pad to play games which need a Wiimote. Luckily for you, I already have a config which should allow you to play SMG/SMG2 (I only have the first one) relatively easily. Change the extension of the attached file to .ini, and put it in Dolphin/user/config/profiles/Wii/. Then in Dolphin, click on Wiimote config, select emulated wiimote as wiimote 1, click on it's configure button, then in the top right of the new window, there should be an option to select this config, and then load it.

Attached Files
.txt   XBox SMG.txt (Size: 1.37 KB / Downloads: 3,329)
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional
CPU: Intel i5 4670K @3.4GHz... for now @4.6GHz with a quick and dirty (yet stable) OC. May get faster in a bit before the end of time.
RAM: 16GB (Down from 24 GB after some was given to siblings)
GPU: Radeon Vega 56

Well, when you say click on configure, then in the top right of the new window there should be an option to select this config, in the drop down box, there isnt any options at all, even with it being in the folder you talked about.

Try closing Dolphin and reopening it. Also, did you remember to change the extension form .txt to .ini?

*Tries to think what could be broken...*

*Can't think of anything.*

Try just meddling around with it, and it should come to life eventually.

haha well I appreciate the efforts Smile Thanks!

Actually think I got it to work, now the only problem is getting the use of "Shake to spin" I pressed everything and still nothing... lol. I just selected default controls in the wii mote section I guess if that helps.

The way its setup now is for shake:
X Trigger R
Y Trigger L
Z Trigger R

However pressing one or the other or both at the same time will not work
