(Referencing Mario Galaxy 2)

Basically my issue is that in the 1732 build Mario will just wander off (mostly to the left) by himself. It would be akin to me ever so slightly tilting the analog stick to make him sneak, but, of course, I am not.

My current control setup has the left analog stick mapped to the nunchuk stick and the IR mapped to the right analog stick.

The caveat here is that this issue does not happen in 3.5 stable. I see that between the two versions there is a third nunchuk stick option -- Radius -- to which the default is 70. Is this an issue for me? I tried turning it up and down with varying degrees of change, but nothing that actually solved my issue.

I even increased the dead zone to no effect.

I could simply run MG2 on 3.5 stable, but it plays, and looks, better on the newer builds.

Please let me know if you guys need anymore information, I have most likely missed something here. Smile

Thanks!

Increase the radius function to 100 to return it to how it was before. Try that and see if it changes anything.

I just attempted this but it had no change.

Oddly enough I decided to try out the newest build and the problem didn't occur. Except, that is, when I loaded up a save state from build 1732. I have uploaded said Save State for anyone to test, if you guys want.

EDIT: Upon further testing, I think it simply may be an issue with the Save State ... If I load my gave from the actual save, things seem to be fine now. :S Well, the Save State file is there if anyone wants to take a peak.

Sorry for the issues.

Bingo. Savestates are unreliable, but can be used if you are willing to put up with some peculiar behavior. But one thing is for sure: there is ZERO support for savestates between revisions. When going between revisions, make in-game saves for everything and then make brand new savestates.

Ahh, now I see. Smile I wish there had of been some kind of warning about Save States when using them, would have narrowed my search down quite a bit, and saved me some time. Tongue

Ah well. Thanks for the replys and the information!

Cheers!
