I am currently using version 4.0.2 because it is one of the few versions of dolphin that has an x86 download. Today i bought a gamecube controller adapter to use for dolphin. When reading online I found out that only the newer versions of dolphin are able to have a gamecube controller connected. I checked out some youtube videos for help and how to get the controller working in dolphin. when they open dolpin you can see a button for 'controller' my version shows GCpad and Wiimote instead. So I cant find the auto connect button for the gamecube adapter (is there even is one) which is found when the 'controller' button is clicked.
Is there a newer version of dolphin that is available for x86, or is there a different way to get my controller working on my current version?

Thanks!

No version of Dolphin that has native support for GC adapters is available for 32-bit x86.

What you can do instead is look for a guide on how to use the GameCube adapter with PC games. If you do that, Dolphin's configuration window should pick up on the GameCube adapter, and then you can map the buttons the same way as with a regular gamepad or keyboard. You lose some of the advantages of Dolphin's native support by doing this, but it should still work decently.

Instead of doing a workaround, you could solve the issue by reinstalling your copy of Windows as 64-bit. Your license covers both 32 and 64 versions of Windows

yeah I'm not sure why you have an i7 and are using 32 bit.

Dolphin will even be multiple times faster.
