I don't understand how a 32Bit application could not works anymore on xp!
I hope this is not the right answer, first directx9, then xp.

Rgds,
You own a i7 3770. What's the reason for putting XP on that (oh lord i hope you didn't consider getting the 64-bit version).

If you plan on using Dolphin consider upgrading to 7/8.1. XP will only slow you down.
Hi,

1 - All the emulator i use works goods on xp and are configured etc... Even PCSX2 (about 16)
2 - I have trouble with several of then on seven.
3 - Dolphin on seven don't allow read of game from dvdrom as they have not the same file system.
4 - Dolphin 32bit don't run faster on seven, but on xp (don't know about the 64 bit)

I can understand that, directx 9 , cannot do simply all the stuff needed for emulating well the wii or the gamecube.

I cannot understand where visual studio 2012 will block further development on the emulator.

You don't need the latest developement environment to works with the latest OS.
I know compagnies who works with deplhi 6 on windows 8.1...

You politic , is the same as microsoft, you want to use this, then buy a new computer, and a new OS, years by years, you don't need it, you don"t want it , to bad , because i have a software that you will want, but as you don't want to change all you beloved environment, you won't have it.... Rgds,
1. Fine for you. Someday XP won't be supported. anymore.
2. All those other millions of people don't appear to.
3. That doesn't even make any sense. Are you trying to read a real GC/Wii disc via a DVD drive? That will be slow as fuck even if you manage to get it to work. Just dump your discs and put them onto a harddrive
4. I can't really say this. The jump from 32-bit to 64-bits is huge in Dolphin and even faster when you put Win7 on it. Nonetheless 7 32-bit should still be faster than XP.

Also, your last part:

If the devs decide not to support a OS anymore which WON'T EVEN be supported by it's creators then it's time to upgrade. XP is 11 years old now, stop whining about having to buy a new OS every new years. You DON'T have to use Dolphin. You didn't even pay to use this software. Deal with it.
