danm, i ALWAYS try to smash that bug, my monitor got dirty as i tried to kill it wen i was eating.

well i don think dx would be faster

coz real gc and maybe wii use something more similar to ogl than dx, so its a nearer API to the real thing thus u get more speed.

It's possible to implement both good DX9 and DX10 plugins, that might be on par with or maybe even beat the OpenGL plugin, but it's one hell of a lot of work and we already have the OpenGL plugin which works well on ATI & nVidia so there isn't really a lot of motivation...

It's easier to program for OpenGL because the API the Gamecube and Wii uses is similar to OpenGL, in fact I think the GC/Wii do use OpenGL or a derivative of it.

This is one of the reasons why the OpenGL plugin is so much further in development and better than the DirectX plugin, despite the DirectX plugin being much older and the OpenGL plugin still in it's infancy of development..
