I have noticed that new version of Dolphin on andriod comes out with a new version multiple times a day. I would like to know if it's worth constantly upgrading? How do you read what's new and what being done?
Would like to know more about developer versions.

Dev versions absolutely have more bug fixes and more features than stable releases. The best way to keep track of whats in them is probably by reading the monthly progress reports or keeping an eye on GitHub. Even if you don't do that they're pretty fine to use just like you would a stable version.
As for upgrading constantly, I don't really recommend that because you'll invalidate your shader cache every time. Causing stuttering in all your games until each game's shaders are recompiled. Of course, shader cache invalidation is currently mitigated on Vulkan right now so you can upgrade Dolphin without getting that wiped. 04-05-2017, 01:46 AM

I'm trying to learn as much as I can. Where do you fine the monthly report ? Also what's GitHub? 04-05-2017, 02:43 AM
The monthly report you can find on the Dolphin's blog. Usually it gets a new report within the first few days of the month. We also post links to it on Twitter and Facebook.
GitHub is where the development happens: github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin Each merged pull request builds a new development revision. However not every pull request will matter for your use case. |
