Would it be possible to play Skyward Sword with 360 controller?

Hey, I want to try out Skyward sword but I was wondering if I would be able to use an xbox controller and somehow map the swings of the remote to an analogue stick or something, rather than using a physical remote.

I do indeed have an actual controller, sensor bar etc but they gobble up batteries like there is no tomorrow so I would prefer to use an xbox controller is possible.

I tried googling around but it wasn't much in the way of using a 360 controller, if anyone could help it'd be great!

No, you need the real thing.

I use 4 rechargeable batteries. When one pair gets low I take the other pair out of the charger and let the first pair regenerate.

Oh well, looks like I'll have to order in some new batteries then.

Would I be correct in thinking that I can emulate the motion plus for a standard controller?

Fennecat: Emulated motion plus is possible, the game can be played with an Xbox controller. See the sticky thread at the top of the page named "emulated motion plus"? No one bothers to look around I guess.
