Hey i was wondering if Dolphin in general would have any benefits of running at 5.0ghz instead of 4ghz. I got my i5-8600k to run at 5.0ghz at exactly 1.260volts and with intel extreme test i go as high as 70c so i've just been playing around with things at 5ghz and i overclocked my ram to 4000mhz and it does feel faster. So another question would be would faster ram benefit dolphin?

If you're not running into slowdowns in Dolphin related to the CPU, then more CPU power isn't going to be used. Off the top of my head, the only games your CPU is probably going to have problems with would be some of the Rogue Squadron games and maybe one or two others that implement some funky features.

That being said, staying overclocked, if its all stable, won't hurt performance in Dolphin, will make background tasks less of a strain, and probably helps with PC gaming, so there's no downside to staying overclocked.
