I'm deciding on which I want to buy. I still have my Wii and sensor bar, both of which work just fine. Whenever I want to play a game using it, I just turn on the Wii after I connect my Wiimoteand I'm ready for playing. It's just slightly annoying having to remember to turn it on and offand I easily forget to do so.

Anyway, I've been looking into purchasing a new sensor bar that doesn't require my Wii. I've already read about the topics about hardwiring the sensor bar into a usb cable, but I don't want to mess with my original bar. I thought a usb sensor bar should work just fine, then I see people complaining about the lack of power due to the usb only powering up to 5 volts or some mess like that.

Then I'm thinking that a wireless bar would be the way to go, but as far as I've seen, none of them just plug into the walland they all seem to need batteries. My Wiimotes already use enough batteriesand I really don't want to keep monitoring my battery situation.

So my question is will the usb sensor bar really effect my gameplay enough for me to notice, and if so, are there any wireless sensor bars that don't use batteries and simply plug into the wall?

I don't see why a USB sensor shouldn't be fine

So the voltage levels won't really reduce the power level effecting the sensitivity?

Not if you get one that was designed (properly) to be a USB one

You seem to know what you're talking about. Have any to suggest?

http://www.amazon.com/Nextronics-Sensor-Bar-USB-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B001UAAX60/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1384151016&sr=8-1&keywords=wii+ir+sensor+usb

That's the one I was thinking about purchasing, but I was turned off by a review or two mentioning the whole voltage issue.

Well if you see a review for that product you may want to look for a different one, but that doesn't mean they all have that issue
