I guess I would have to shell out the cash then lol. Thanks for the information, I think I may have found a method but I'm not sure it would work. Basically I will need to purchase one of their GC to USB adapters and the Wavebird and connect the adapter to the WB reciever. Please refer to the following schemata on how it will look like:

Would this be possible? On their website it says that it was tested and supports the WV controller or any wireless controller. Anyone tried this before or any input on this setup would be great.
