I'm having trouble getting some things to work in some games, let me explain. For example in Luigi's mansion holding down "L" all the way is supposed to be able to fire a ball of ice(assuming you have that element of course), but for me it is only spraying ice(effect if you don't hold the trigger all the way) Here is a screenshot of my current controller config. Thoughts as to what I need to change to get this working?

You haven't put L and R digital, put the L and R triggers there too and set threshold to a high value like 80 or 90 instead of 10. This means that 80 percent of the way L or R analog will be used and at the final 20% L or R digital will be used.

Okay, altered so that the triggers are assigned to both digital and analog now, and bumped threshold to 90. However i'm still running into the same problem, can only spray a cone of ice, can't get it to shoot out a ball of ice, like i'm supposed to be able to do.

EDIT
what i mean is i should be able to do either of those actions when I want, depending on how the trigger is pulled. Instead I am only able to shoot out that cone of ice, regardless of how i'm pulling the trigger.

Weird, it should work. Lower the threshold and try again, also post a shot of your settings like above.

When you press you triggers all they way down in the menu above do you see the detection box below go red all the way to the right?

I hadn't thought to check that before, but yes they both register going all the way over when fully pressed. Can also get them to register very little, or medium with the right amount of pressure, all seems to be working just fine. Well except for whats going on in game anyway.
