ShadowFlash Wrote:3) Windows 8 is just Win7 with brutally sodomized interface and compatibility problems. I can run the game in Kubuntu with both wine and CrossOver, but it doesn't work on my uncle's laptop with Win 8. So if you use Win - stick with Win 7.

Can't say I've experienced any compatibility issues with win 8 that weren't present with win 7. What game are you referring to?

Fixing the interface is pretty easy.

Well, what if I wrote software and put in the EULA that whoever used it had to kill himself within 7 days? Would that be enforcable?
The DMCA is the problem here.

If suicide was legal and the client knew about it when clicking I agree I would say yes. Failure to DIAF on the 8th day would constitute a breach in the agreement and you would be entitled to damages if they continued to use said software. /armchair lawyer

In the US, there are limits to contract law, and having to kill yourself as part of the agreement would surely be found as an unconscionable term, given it forms a very deadly contract of adhesion. Having to kill anyone else as part of the agreement (or saying that the company can kill you as part of the agreement) voids the contract due to illegality (contracted murder basically). If you can prove that you have a valid excuse for non-performance of a term, you have a very good chance of avoiding breach of contract altogether.

IANAL, I just play one of the Dolphin forums :3
