I noticed that after big Windows update Dolphin was crashing. It’s because the update killed WinUSB driver. Reinstalling the driver with Zadig fixed the problem. Also, this only applies to folks who use Passthrough.

Most Windows Updates kill WinUSB drivers nowadays. It's become a fact of life.

When you receive feature updates (on Windows 10 that's two per year, assuming you didn't enroll in any Insider Preview Ring), you're actually going through a full Windows install followed by a data migration phase from your old install to your new install, just like you would go through if, for example, you were installing Windows 7 on top of Windows 8.
On the migration phase, drivers currently in use will be backed up and reinstalled again on the "new" Windows install, but due the whole self-signing dance in order to comply with Microsoft's Driver Signing enforcement that Zadig does silently when you use the program, it means the WinUSB/libusbK/whatever driver you created to use USB/BT Passthrough with Dolphin suddenly isn't valid anymore on the new install and as such it'll be intentionally and completely skipped (that's just the basics, I'm too lazy to go deeper on this subject -- which is boring anyway). TL;DR whenever you receive Feature Updates on your Windows 10 install you'll have to use Zadig again. There's no way around that unless you happen to own a valid EV certificate (which are suuuper expensive) and are willing to go through all the hassle of signing your own driver file...
