is that a macro definition???? it dosent look i would be able to compile dolphin with that..................and besides sse4a is a scam and dosent support sse4.....i can do it sse3 which would give you a better speed boost than that could ever give u..........

Checkout my latest project ( it is a program that downloads and compiles dolphin on mac and linux now): http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu-downloader (It's unofficial and maintained by me, not the dolphin dev team)

sure i could try, and sse3 would give you more speed because
1. sse4 would be faster than sse3 but sse4a is not really sse4.
2. The Intel c++ compiler offers better optimization than just adding a macro definition

ok thanks

I will also test to see which is faster and tell you the results.

When you build dolphin what parts of it do you optimize? i.e. Dolphin.exe, video/audio "plug-ins" etc.

well when i use intel c++ i do the entire thing, but with macro definitions the only one that makes a difference is the VideoCommon project
its compiling....
yeah, dolphin wont compile with any one of those.............but theres always sse3.........i cant wait until amd processors support sse4.........
