Exclamation
Hello everyone Smile

I tried to install Dolphin 4.0.2 on my PC running Windows 8.1 64 Bit. I have Dolphin 4.0 installed and running so it worked once.
But now everytime I try to start the Dolphin 4.0.2 x64 install file I get an error saying
"This app can't run on your PC"
Not very informative this error message. Compatibility mode doesn't change anything and also running as an admin.
The x86 install file won't even start up.
Every help is hihly appreciated Smile

Thanks in advance Smile

Did you uninstall 4.0 before installing 4.0.2

No I didn't. Gonna try it right now!

EDIT: It didn't change anything. Still the same error.

Can you post a screen shot of the error message?

This always appears when starting it.

Try the latest dev build, 4.0-1001, as of writing

I've not this this type of error before. Do you have all your Windows updates, DirectX Web updater, Visual C++ 2013 (x64 and x32), and driver updates installed?

That error occurs if you're trying to run a 64-bit build on a 32-bit OS. Make sure you downloaded the correct version...
Avell A70 MOB: Core i7-11800H, GeForce RTX 3060, 16 GB DDR4-3200, Windows 11 (Insider Preview)
ASRock Z97M OC Formula: Pentium G3258, GeForce GT 440, 16 GB DDR3-1600, Windows 10 (22H2)

So apparently the download was corrupted...
I downloaded the 4.0.2 x64 version with a different browser and now it works like a charm again. Don't know why Firefox screwed up there.
My drivers and resources are all up to date and I downloaded the correct version Smile
thanks for all your help Smile
