Actually this makes a lot of sense. Intel hadn't released any stable driver for Windows 10, only a beta that's downloaded automatically by Windows Update, since it's a beta, that may be the cause...

I know for a fact that the Intel HD 4000 beta driver (even the one just released yesterday) is broken still.

I didn't jump on Windows 10 myself. My fiance uses my computer as well and he decided he wanted to do it just to check it out. Which I was fine with, until I realized I couldn't play any of my games through any of my emulators. I told him I was reverting back to Windows 7 the second I had tried all of the fixes that people had suggested.

I was quite annoyed when I got to the computer one day and saw that it was upgrading to Windows 10. And even more so annoyed when Harvest Moon continued to crash over and over. Told him he is never allowed to accept an upgrade without running it through me first from now on lol.

And this is why I stayed off Windows 10 even wayy before it was released officially. I started hearing complains about Windows 10 driver issues long ago, still keeping Win 8.1. Not to bash on Windows 10, but I mainly use my laptop for emulators really, some school work here and there. And not to mention I had to do a clean install not long ago due to malwares, I'm not going through that 3-4hr headache again.

(sits here on Windows 10 with no issue on any games) I guess it just depends on what hardware you have and what level of compatibility its at

You mean what kind of drivers you have installed.

My computer is back to running Dolphin 100% smoothly. Though I'm now experiencing issues with a friend's computer. Working on updating drivers as I type this, but I'll go ahead and throw the specs down in case anyone happens to see a problem in the specs.

Laptop Make & Model: Dell Inspiron M531R-5535
Processor: AMD A8-5545M APUwith Radeon HD Graphics @ 1.70 GHz
Ram: 6 GB
System Type: 64 bit
OS: Windows 8.1
Dolphin: 4.0.2 (which is also what I use on my laptop that works just fine.)

She's been trying to use the Direct3D11 backend, so if there's any suggestions of what to change that (and any other dolphin settings) to, please let me know.

EDIT: I changed the Audio backend to No Sound (because the games she plays really do not require sound) and it seems to be working perfectly now. I'll report back if there are any other issues.
