Dear all,

I have a problem with running a Zelda - The Wind Waker ISO on Dolphin.

This is the Macbook I'm using:

MacBook Pro (Retina) - late 2015
2,7 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB

I am new to this program and Zelda is the first game I tried to get started. With the newest version it was way too slow, so I tried the 3.5 version and now (with limiting FPS) Link runs in adequate speed. But now this problem occured: The sound (especially the music) is way too fast and alternates and sometimes Link slows down as well. The speed is considered way over 100% although Links moves in perfect speed most of the time. FPS and VPS differ as well. I attached you all of my settings - What can I do?

Thanks a lot!

Jakob.

Don't use 4.0.2, it's way too outdated. Download a recent development release. Then go to Config and set framelimit to auto.

We don't support old versions like 3.5. If you're having performance problems with the newest version, let's try investigating that first. Were you using the latest development version (not 4.0 or 4.0.2)?

Oh crap hahahaha. I just saw OpenMP and assumed it was 4.0.2.

Yeah if you have to use 3.5 for some reason we can't really help you.

Not needed. The proper choice with the new framelimit system is 100%, and that's what will be set the first time you use a recent development build, because the setting from the old framelimit system is ignored.

Thank you for your quick reply!

I now downloaded the version 4.0-9219 and started the game. Now the music is not that fast any more but has some glitches and is still alternating as well as the motion. I could not find any framelimit-box, this was the inital reason for me to download an older version. I attached you my settings again (mainly the default settings, in German this time, sorry for that). Do you see any reason why it isn`t working at adequate speed and without the audio glitches?

Thank you!

Is the sound stuttering a little at the same time as the video does? If that's the case, it's just regular slowdown, not an audio glitch. Try reducing the internal resolution (in Graphics > Enhancements) to get better performance. Start with 1x, then increase it if your computer can handle it. You shouldn't be using Auto for the internal resolution anyway, because having a non-integer scale can lead to problems in some cases. (EDIT: Nevermind, I was looking at the old screenshot because the new one wasn't uploaded yet. I'm not sure what else there is to do. Does anyone else have something to say about the performance?)

Also, some of your settings seem strange. They might not be causing any problems right now, but you might as well set them so they're unlikely to cause problems in the future. Force Console as NTSC-J (Config > General) and Disable Fog (Graphics > Enhancements) aren't supposed to be checked, Scaled EFB Copy (Graphics > Enhancements) is supposed to be checked (only matters when using a higher internal resolution than 1x), and everything in the game properties should be set to undetermined (horizontal line) unless you're sure you need to override it.

The framelimit option has been replaced with an option that's called... Well, I don't actually remember the English name right now, but it's the one that says Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung in your screenshot. It should always be set to 100% unless you want the game to run at the wrong speed.

I would go into your Dolphin user folder (Located in I think Application Library?) and delete the config folder because you have some weird options that might be messing with stuff.
