Hi, Android forum seems like the best place to put this but if not, feel free to move.
I'm running Wind Waker on Dolphin 5.0-11059. This is on a Shield (2017), upgraded to the latest 'experience' which is Android 9 with whatever add ons Nvidia adds to the distribution.
I have an external 1TB drive connected, with the usual Android 'expand internal storage' behaviour. Dolphin is installed on the drive, the ROM is in a separate folder, for the save games I use GCI and they're in the usual place under GC/US(in this case)/Card A/....
I get an odd behaviour around saving that I was hoping someone might have some notion what the problem is.
Basically, saves work just fine ... most of the time. I can load the save, play, save the game, quit, play again at some point and load the save, save again, etc etc
Periodically though when I try and save it fails with that 'Memory card in Slot A is corrupt' message. If I quit to the title I can load up that same save with no difficulties, so the GCI files themselves are not corrupt. Loading them into the memory card manager on Dolphin on my PC, the saves look fine.
Doesn't seem to be any pattern to it either, it's just periodic and random. I've tried a bunch of stuff like swapping out and back in to Dolphin, I've tried refreshing, I've tried copying backups back in from my PC upstairs acccessing the shield via a share, nothing seems to either 1. fix it when it starts happening or 2. cause it in the first place. Just random.
Anyone any ideas ? What's the best way to start looking for why it might happen ? Nothing in the log directory on the shield. whats the right logging to be turned on in dolphin to try and work out why this is happening ?
Thanks,
D.
