I've been having trouble finishing the Pictograph quest, every time I take a picture Dolphin crashes Sad

Is there someone who can tell me what I'm doing wrong? Here is my set up:

Dolphin ver 2.0 (latest versions did not work for me)
OpenGL (enabled EFB to RAM)

Intel core i7, 64-bit
16 GB Ram
Nvidia GeForce GT 740

Sorry if this is in the wrong section! Saw I few posts about this problem but did not want to necro.

Welcome to the forums, please read our rules if you haven't yet.
Anyway, we don't provide support for such an old build─even the latest stable 4.0.2 is considered old.
You'll want to run the latest development builds found on top of the page.

What exactly isn't working with the latest build(s)? Are you getting any error message(s)?
If you haven't already, check out the FAQ and see if your problem is listed there.

Thanks for your reply! And yes I've read the rules, sorry if I've missed anything.

My problem is this certain pictograph quest on Wind Waker and I think I might be able to solve it by saving my file and using the latest version of dolphin as you suggested.

If anyone can direct me to a save file/ memory card transfer tutorial so I can open my save game on dolphin 4.0-8143 I'd really appreciate it.

Sorry again, just started using dolphin a few days ago!

I've never used anything as old as 2.0, but I think this should work...

First, start 4.0-8143 once so that it will create its settings folder. There should now be a new folder at C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Dolphin Emulator. In the same folder as the Dolphin 2.0 executable, there is a folder called User. Copy the GC folder from the User folder to the Dolphin Emulator folder to copy the memory cards. You can also copy the Wii folder to copy your Wii save data, etc. However, please keep in mind that you cannot transfer savestates between different Dolphin versions.

It worked! Thank you so much!

Now my only problem is getting the keyboard to work. It seems the new updates only allow wii and game cube controllers, and all of mine are broken as of now. Keyboard worked fine on 2.0 though. Is there a plugin or workaround for the keyboard?

Thanks again! Much appreciated Smile

You can select "Standard Controller" (for GC) or "Emulated Wiimote" as your controller, then you can press the Configure button and map it to your keyboard or a standard PC gamepad.
