Wind Waker audio skipping

Hi all.

Firstly let me list my PC specs:

Windows 7 64bit
QX6700 overclocked (Stable) 3.5GHz Watercooled
4GB DDR2 RAM (not overclocked)
HIS ATI 5850 1GB GPU
Asus Xonar D2X 7.1 soundcard (using 5.1 surround atm)

Problem i have is, although the game works perfectly (graphically at least and get framerates of around 30fps) the sound constantly skips and stutters. I've been tinkering with the sound settings for ages and frankly it's quite limited (like, 3/4 checkboxes)

I've been using the latest Dolphin version (2.0) as well as other versions from other sites, but i hear there's other revisions that can help, and despite looking on these forums it's not clear to me where to find these. I've also ALWAYS used 64bit versions as i run a 64bit os (again, i dunno if that can cause ap roblem or not)

This guy here http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/thread-112...05903.html Seems to have found a solution by downloading the latest revision (whereever the hell that is ) and changing the "surround sound" settings (Which i don't have in any of the versions ive tried)

Can anyone help me out? please? I get the feeling it's a simple problem yet anything i do doesn't solve it. I'm convinced i got the hardware required to run it reasonably well so i don't understand what i'm doing wrong. If anyone can guide me on how to get it working it would be appreciated!

Now i've tried every emulator on that site and none seem to fix the skipping audio problem i have. It does it every 3 or so seconds...

Waht i'd like to know is what version the guy tried in that thread i linked. Especially if he had a "enable surround sound" option.

Actually, i've just determined that while playing, sound is fine. It's just during cutscenes it stutters and desyncs.

My patched builds seem to be playing Windwaker audio just fine without skipping, that's why I patched my builds using a patch to solve audio skipping and crackling issues with Windwaker. No other build includes this patch as far as I know, mamario's builds are compiled with the vanilla source and include no patches or modifications whatsoever.
