So, my Wiimote went through repeated phases of getting detected at first and then just disappearing after theoretically successfully getting paired (with no code). Finally it stayed paired, but the pointer doesn't work at all. I have a wireless sensor bar, but the pointer doesn't show up. What am I doing wrong?

Vanilla Windows. I could not force the Toshiba stack into working, but supposedly, with original (non-TR) Wiimotes, you don't need it.

That is correct unless they are third party, then they may not work at all.
