Hello. I'm thinking of buying a new laptop soon (lenvovo IdeaPad G780.)
The specs of this laptop are- Intel Core i5 3210M(2.50GHz) 4GB Memory 500GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 635M Integrated Intel® HD 4000 Graphics and has Windows 8 64bit
Some of the games I will be playing are- Super Mario Sunshine, Zelda: The Wind Waker, Paper Mario TTYD, Super Smash Bros Brawl, New Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Galaxy (1 and 2), and Animal Crossing
The graphic detail I want is 720p
I'm wondering if this laptop will be able to play these games smoothly or if I will need to choose a more powerful laptop. Thanks Big Grin

It should be fine for nsmbw, and maybe a couple others. Wind waker and sunshine probably won't run too well. Brawl might be ok, but i'm not sure. Mario galaxy absolutely will not run anywhere near acceptably (and probably won't on any laptop).

Wind waker should run fine. A 2.2GHz core 2 duo with an integrated intel gpu can easily reach fullspeed. Animal crossing is a definite yes as well. Paper Mario TTYD is a definite no.

I thought of some other games to play, will these run smoothly with the specs?
Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Luigi's Mansion, Resident Evil 4, Legend of Zelda: Four Sword Adventures, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Gamecube Version, F-Zero GX, Pokemon Colosseum, Metroid Prime, and SoulCalibur II
If any of these will run smoothly with the specs listed, please respond which ones. Thanks! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

True, I forgot that we changed that. However the game only has 1 or 2 minor issues with efb copy to texture so he should be fine playing it with that.

No way to run these games full-speed (except Zelda FSA). Same thing for SMG 1/2

Luigi Mansion and Soul Calibur II and Legend of Zelda: Four Sword Adventures will run fullspeed
Luigi Mansion require Core i3 first gen @ 2.4GHz or AMD Llano Quad Core @ 2.4GHz
Although Soul Calibur II require "dual core mode" disabled (run game in single core mode) , SCII is a light-weight game . So no problem for his CPU
