I doubt that the game will actually look like that and whether it will have the best graphics on the wii not with Monster Hunter Tri, The New Zelda, New Mario Galaxy and potentially Other M if we actually see any new footage of it apart from that E3 video from last year.
Also why would graphics make it the hardest to emulate Metroid Prime Trilogy still cannot be emulated properly and when i say properly i mean running it by just playing the iso without having to replace any part of it.

Graphics have nothing to do with how well a game emulates on Dolphin.
Reginleiv for example has crazy graphics compared to 99% of wii games, nearly comparable to the new prince of persia, yet it plays flawlessly on Dolphin by default. Other games which are barely 3d, have graphical glitches and hangups all the time. Dolphin has excellent capacities to render graphics as they are meant to be rendered, even at higher resolution than possible on the normal Wii (such as 1080p). The only bottleneck that remains could be the user's gpu, ram and cpu. ugoo Wrote:I doubt that the game will actually look like that Normally I'd agree, but the game is actually going to have this kind of graphics. It will be direct port from Xbox360 and PS3 with only controls and storyline modified for the Wii. It will use the same heavy texture models as those 2 systems 02-17-2010, 07:32 PM
well look at any system that is emulated perfectly and compare the games in its later lifespan using tricks or simply unleashing more graphical capabilities than earlier games and compare how it emulates those games (even now) to launch titles for example. Loopk at starfox for snes and compare it to early snes games and how well they are emulated. Look at Perfect dark or even banjo and compare it to mario 64 etc.
Yes but Mario Galaxy for example still looks better than most of the other games on the Wii and that was an early release on the wii plus POP is not a port they stated that it was being built from the ground up for the wii but that it would have a different storyline and im pretty sure that Monster Hunter Tri uses more texture models than POP will use.
Also don't forget this is Ubisoft where talking about they are notorious for releasing still images of games at a much higher resolution than what the game actually runs at

The controls are the same as the PS3/360 i doubt that and nowhere on that page did it say the textures where ported from them it rather is being built from the ground up which is a nice idea rather than some half assed port from the HD Twins but no this is not pushing anything.
"Pushing out visuals that could easily have been taken from a higher-end original Xbox title" this is graphically advanced for last gen, for a console that like the wii that is more powerful than all the last gen consoles settling for higher end Xbox titles simply doesn't cut it, the wii is still capable of more and i still stand by my saying that Mario Galaxy looked better than this.

saying that this game will have exactly the same graphics on the wii as the other consoles just shows lack of knowledge on how games are made and what the wii capabilities are.
Its all about the amount of work the artist put into every texture, every character and environment that defines how well a game looks regardless of the limitations of the hardware it runs. I really hope this game is not a port of the ps3 and 360 versions because in reality it doesn't work that way. in reality every texture would be lower ress and the game has a-lot of far off clipping and lower polycount. those screens are rendered at x2 or more the original size for publicity reasons. and yes, mario galaxy 2 looks better than this shiat .
