I have already taken a look at the setup guide and the websites performace guide, but it's not helping. I'd like to know if Dolphin can run smoothly on my pc.(Aiming for a decent range of 30-35 avg fps)
Here are my specs..
CPUTongueentium® Dual-Core CPU E5700 @ 3.00Ghz
GPU:nVidia 9500GT 1GB OC
Memory:4GB DDR3
I've tried running SSBB, but it's quite choppy.

Did you do what they tell you to do in the official website of Dolphin to configure it first?

Your system will perform yes Tongue as long as the power is on xD But in all seriousness, don't expect too much with that cpu and gpu. You have one of the first core2duo's I believe. I would try going for a system upgrade real soon ! (depending on what you use your computer for obviously)

That is not one of the first core 2 duos. It's an E5700 which is just a wolfdale with part of the cache disabled and the FSB lowered. They didn't start selling those until 2008/2009. In terms of performance it should be about on par with a regular phenom, making it faster than a pentium d or athlon X2, but slower than a full blown core 2 duo/quad, phenom II , or i3/i5/i7.

Hardware developers should really use logical names for their stuff xD You'd assume an e5700 was built before for example an e6600... but nooooo! Why do they make it so hard for us *sadface* plus I should probably google more when in doubt. Wink

No that is totally logical. The number tells you where the specs rank. You can naturally assume a 6000 series is faster than a 5000 series of the same clock rate for example. It would be massively more confusing under the system that you propose. Think of all the people complaining about how they upgraded to a 6000 series cpu but because they are not numbered based on specs it actually ended up being slower than their previous cpu. And you realize that the first core2duos were not e6000s right?
