my first post Big Grin

im putting together a new desktop and was wondering how it would run the following games. ive read around in the forums a LOT trying to figure it out for myself, but 90% of the people here dont post their pc specs so its hard to figure out what people are using to run certain games at playable speeds etc. anyway, i was given a brand new motherboard and videocard and ram etc. so im basically just buying a proc and then throwing it together. i dont plan on spending any money besides purchasing the proc for the setup. so my question IS, will this setup play the following games:

AMD ATHLON 64 X2 6000+ 3.0GHZ
2GB DDR2 800 PC-6200 ram
7900gtx 512mb

and the games im curious about are:

zelda twilight princess
mario galaxy
mario kart wii

and to a lesser extent, the metroid prime series(its my understanding that these are particularly harder to run at playable speeds)

and also how do you think the setup will run dolphin overall?
and if you'd like to post your specs when responding that'd be cool too Smile
i appreciate any responses, thanks!!!

Hmm, dont know about AMD, but C2DUO works wonders at 3.0 Ghz of speed, the video card is fine Smile

The three of them run pretty good on my setup, I can play Zelda at full speed on my setup (using Dx9), Mario Galaxy is always between 75-100% of speed, Mario kart Wii is almost full speed on my PC, like 75% is good enough in that game

Well, I have an AMD64 x2 4200+ 2,2@2,9GHZ
4GB DDR1 400 Mhz PC 3200-Ram
Ati Radeon HD4850 512 MB

I can say that Mario Kart Wii Runs pretty well, about 30-50 fps (75% speed). Not 100% full speed reached but it is fast enough to enjoy the game and feel it smooth.

Zelda is also fully playable (90-100% speed at the beginning of the game), but I haven't played so much, only a couple of minutes, so, i don't know if it is slower later (people say that when you arrive to hirule field fps speed drops a lot).

Mario Galaxy is slow :-( . It needs a poweful pc . It depends on the size of the planet you're playing. Little planets are playable but others are slower (getting only 20 fps or less), so you have to use frameskipping.
