Just use the beta update track.

project management for pushing out proper stable releases is a headache few want to do.

Why don't they just remove the stable build,or call the beta update the stable build it will stop people asking about it.

It's complicated. Stable served a purpose that we haven't yet figured out an alternative for - stable releases pushed us to fix regressions. So right now, regressions are just kind of sticking around without anyone looking at them. It's not great. But of course the reason stable got us to fix regressions was because of feature freezes, and that's the very thing that makes stable releases such a nightmare in the first place. So we're kind of in a limbo of needing to fix regressions but not sure exactly *how* to approach them without resorting to feature freezes, so we're just kind of not addressing it and well, time just keeps passing. ┐(´-`)┌

I mean, PCSX2 just recently got a new stable release after 4 years of only releasing dev builds, so maybe?
