Will any bluetooth adapter work for the Wii remote?

I'm looking at either getting the dolphin bar or just sticking with a bluetooth adapter with my latest desktop, but I've heard about Dolphin bars having issues plus the length seems pretty small. Will any bluetooth adapter work though? (1 metre)
