Ok so a guy that's going to sell me a wii remote plus tells me that the original one and the official one have two different prices (the official one has a lower price tag), but he tells me that either way the official one is still licensed by nintendo, it's just the original one that is a direct nintendo product that has the status to put a higher price tag on it. I've heard issues about some wiimote plus' not working because they are not original products, will the official one with the nintendo license still do the job for games like skyward sword? He also tells me that many people have bought that one and used it with a pc no problem as there really is no point is paying a higher price when it functions exactly the same. (Please keep in mind that I live in a place where all these products need to be imported thus they have a higher price unlike the ones in amazon or ebay for example)

Could you explain what you call "official Wiimote" and "original Wiimote" because I'm lost here Tongue

Hahaha yeah I understand I was lost at the start too. The "original" Wiimote is the one that comes packaged by Nintendo (The one that comes with the wii) and the "official" Wiimote is a third party manufacturer BUT it is licensed by nintendo

Well 3rd party Wiimotes usually suck (licensed, unlicensed, fakes). But I suppose some models still work. It would be interesting to know which model the guy was talking about. I personaly wouldn't take any risk though Tongue .

Btw where do you live?

Colombia, South America, I would like not to take any risk but the money >.<, I'm a student currently doing high school senior year and don't have a steady source of income. I DO have the money for the original one but I was also planning on buying some extra fans for my case >>. In that case I can wait until I have some more money and buy the wiimote then to play it safe, for now I'll focus on getting the best cooling for my pc, if it overheats the wiimote wouldn't have much purpose :p
