Will a New2in1 Wiimote work with Dolphin?

I want to play Skyward Sword, but I don't currently own a Wii Remote with MotionPlus and a Nunchuck, and I don't want to pay full price on an original remote for just one game.

I found a New2in1 remote for a good price, but I'm not sure if it will work with Dolphin, is there anyone who tested it and knows if it works?

It will work in Dolphin under two conditions

1. it actually works on a real console. I've seen remotes that don't actually work on console like advertised.

2. If you don't use an official wiimote, you have to use Bluetooth Passthrough in the latest development build. This comes with it's own set of limitations and instructions which you can read about here

https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Bluetooth_Passthrough

One important limitation the wiki doesn't seem to cover is that if you're on Windows, the adapter you choose to passthrough will no longer be able to be used for other bluetooth devices until you uninstall the driver.

And the Dolphinbar will not work for this due to design limitations of the Dolphinbar. You'll need a dedicated BT adapter and a dedicated (usb) "sensor" bar.

By installing just UsbDk instead of forcing the driver, the behavior on Windows is theoretically the same from Mac/Linux (adapter gets magically "unplugged" when booting a game and magically shows up again after stopping emulation/closing Dolphin), but in reality it's more of a hit or miss. I got BT Passthrough working fine with just UsbDk on my laptop, but on another 3 Windows machines I tried they simply didn't work unless I manually forced the drivers with Zadig...

UsbDk and libusb are a mess on Windows

Thank you for the tip.  I tried this and it worked.  I did not have time to try but I think now I should be able to easily switch between BT passthrough and Dolphin's BT implementation for testing purposes.

Are there other advantages to installing UsbDk vs. replacing the driver with Zadig?

Unfortunately, this method has the same limitation as using Zadig, in the sense that wiimotes 2-4 have to be reconnected by pressing 1+2 every time a game is loaded (see here).  If there were a solution for this, BT passthrough would be perfect and work just like in the real Wii.
