Will a high end PC ensure 100% speed?

Is it worth splashing out on new components or a new PC altogether with the intention of making it an emulation machine? My friend lent me Twilight Princess, but I'd love to play it in 1080p rather than the low quality of Wii.

At the moment, I have a quad core Intel processor @ 2.5GhZ, 4GB RAM and an overclocked nVidia GTX 560Ti with 500GB hard drive on Windows 7, 64 bit. I understand that I should improve my processor but, if I get a good enough processor, will this guarantee I can play all games at 95 - 100% speed?

I've read a lot of threads but I'm still unsure.

Thanks

No. But you should be able to play most games flawlessly with a 2500K. (HINT)

Although with your current CPU; if you manage to OC it a bit, to say 3.2GHz+, you should be able to play TP fairly well.

I've searched the wiki.dolphin.com pages and seen, for example, that Twin Snakes has a lot of problems. I guess that, regardless of how powerful my processor is, these problems won't be ironed out.

But if I get a 2500K processor, I should be able to play most games flawlessly? I try to set up games according to the wiki.dolphin.com recommendations but still find I'm tinkering. I was looking at waiting for this Ivy Bridge I hear so much about.

When people say about building PCs being cheaper, do they mean shopping around for each compartment? I don't trust myself to build it myself. I was planning on using iBuyPower.

The last few entries say otherwise. The game should be playable with occasional slowdowns and audio issues.

Some problems have to get fixed by the developers, while other 'problems', such as slowdowns etc are caused by your hardware usually.

Yes. I have one myself, never had any problems at all with every game I've played. (I do have to confess that I haven't played a hundred -different- games on Dolphin yet).
They're extremely easy to OC aswell to gain some extra speed.

Sure, they're just 2 months away now. But from what I've read/seen, they're not groundbreaking faster than the Sandy Bridge.

Building a PC yourself means that you don't purchase them from manufacturers such as Dell, HP etc. iBuyPower is also a manufacturer.

It means selecting each and every component yourself, and if you will, assemble it yourself.
Some shops also have assembly services, so you can let them do it instead.

Well, "building your own PC" usually boils down to "buy the components and plug every plug where it fits". You can't really do many things wrong...
