When looking up games on the wiki and seeing how compatible they are, I feel like a lot of the information on there is superfluous for the average user that has the latest version of Dolphin. Some ways to clean up the wiki might be to remove old testing entries (when newer ones are present) and move fixed issues to a different section.

For testing entries that are old, I was thinking anything older than 3.5. Are there really many users that are still using 3.0? However, if there aren’t many entries on 3.5 and above, then the old entries should remain. I could see cases where issues that only appear on certain setups are kept, but most testing entries I see are people reporting the overall performance.

Moving the fixed issues would help especially with games that have lots of issues that have already been fixed and don’t really need to be read, unless a user has to use an old version. The old issues would be separated into an expandable section called “Fixed Issues.”

I’m not at all claiming that these things must be done, just want to see what other people think and if there are any other ideas out there.

Fixed issues are removed every time a new stable release comes out. Testing entries are kept for archival purposes, however only the latest 3 are displayed by default and you have to click "expand" to show more.

That makes sense then for the testing entries. Maybe it's because I almost always have it expanded. Tongue

For fixed issues, is that done automatically by the system or do people have to manually remove them?

People do it manually. After every release we go in and clear them all out. The wiki's search sucks, so a small number can slip through, but we're pretty good about it. Really we should make a script for it come 5.0.
