WiiU Adapter for wiimote

I got my wiiU adapter to work when configuring the gamecube controller settings without issue, but when I try to "emulate wiimote" and click the drop down menu "devices" it only pops up my keyboard. I tried restarting and refreshing? Am I missing something? I am trying to use my gamecube controller for New Super Mario Bros.

Dolphin's native support for Wii U GameCube adapters only lets you use GameCube controllers as GameCube controllers, not as emulated Wii Remotes (and not for hotkeys either).

So there is currently no way to play wii games on dolphin with a GameCube controller?

There is, but you would have to use one of those drivers that you would use for playing regular PC games with your GameCube controller rather than using Dolphin's native support for the adapter.

(Also, some Wii games support GameCube controllers natively, but I'm assuming you're talking about the Wii games that don't do that.)
