Hello all!

Usually I would just attempt to use Google to figure out the solution to my issue, but since this feature is so new, Google is not really helpful.

So, I wanted to start utilizing the new "Hybrid Wiimote" feature outlined here: https://dolphin-emu.org/blog/2020/04/05/dolphin-progress-report-february-2020/

My problem was that I did not know how to map the motion controls of the Wiimote to an emulated controller. I knew about DSU Client, but when I click the link to figure out how to use it, the part that recommends one to use Wiimote hook says "For Wii titles, it's recommended to connect the Wii Remotes directly to Dolphin instead of using a DSU Server." https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=DSU_Client

How am I supposed to use the new feature? Am I supposed to just use Wiimote hook?

Thanks!

For Wiimotes, you don't need DSU Client anymore. Enable "Connect Wii Remotes for Emulated Controllers" option in current development builds and then, new Wiimote entries will appear on the "Devices" drop-down menu when configuring Hotkeys, Emulated Wiimotes and Emulated GameCube Controllers. Right-click any binding and you'll also be able to pick the motion axes on the advanced input config window...
