Wiimotes not working

when i start a game like new super mario bros. dolphin appears with a message that says do u want to reconnect wiimote when i click yes it just comes back and when i go to the wiimote plugin and select auto recconect the wiimote doesnt work at all i have tyed a lot of revisions it just seems to not work
