I'm having the same issue though it's my first set. Works as a mouse and in other games, doesn't work with Dolphin 5 or the latest dev release.

I believe you can check them by using a smartphone camera while the bar is on the leds should glow  Or you can check them using a multimeter.

Thanks, but I'm not using Dolphinbar, I'm using another LED reflector. I don't think the "disconnected by emulated software" errors occur when the Wiimote is not pointed at the LED bar though.

I just got the Mayflash DolphinBar, and I was also having the issue with Dolphin 5.0 that, when I started the game, it would say, "the software has disconnected wiimote 3 and 4". I had to get the latest development version of Dolphin and then the issue was solved. Since 5.0 is still the recommended "stable" version I wanted to share this on this thread for future searchers.

5.0 is only called "Stable" because regressions created between 4.0.2 and 5.0 have been fixed. The latest development version is still the version we recommend any day of the year... The good thing is: the dev versions usually are more Stable due to the way the updating is done: People create a fix or patch or update or feature to Dolphin and the patch usually isn't merged until it is clear enough that it doesn't break anything (well known) of course the odd bug can slip through but those usually are fixed within a few days. On top of that the current dev versions have over 7000 changes, with a lot of bug fixes and new features that make it a lot more accurate.
Check my profile for up to date specs.

What OS are you running? I have the same behavior with the Gamecube Adapter on my Ubuntu drive.
