So I have a Nyko wand and it works perfectly fine for Fatal Frame 4 but when i try to play Fatal Frame 2/Project Zero 2, it says wiimote connected for like a split second then says not connected. Yeah I know Dolphin doesn't like 3rd party equipment but it's weird that it works fine for Fatal Frame 4 but doesn't want to work at all for FF2. Just wondering if anyone has had these problems before with the wiimote working and not working on certain games. I should've gotten an authentic wiimote Undecided

Yeah disconnections may happen EVEN with official Wiimotes. Depends on the games. Try to use Alt + F5 when it disconnects. There's the "Alternate Wiimote Timing" option too: right click on the game (in your gamelist), go into Properties and check the option

Thanks for the suggestions but I already tried those a few times. I searched through all the Fatal Frame 2 threads and nobody had these problems but I don't like they were using real wiimotes.

Well I used a real Wiimote for this game and I had no problem. Mine is an official Wiimote so your issue is likely to come from yours that is not. As you mentioned before this is often the case with 3rd party Wiimotes unfortunately

Woah ok I just found myself in a weird situation right now. So I changed the control configuration to emulated wiimote so that I would get past the not connected wiimote in game message. This is where it gets weird, I still have the small wiimote config window open and change it to real wiimote on the drop down menu. I try to use the wiimote and it actually works...but the wiimote config window is still open. When I close the wiimote config window it goes back to not connected. What the hell is going on?!?! It's working perfectly when I have the config window open but when i press OK to close it, it will just disconnect. So it probably is the controller then.
