So recently I decided to acquire a Real Wiimote, with Motion Plus Inside. I got the Bluetooth Dongle, and IT SHOULD WORK - But I get some real weird errors I've yet to see around. First of, the wiimote never stays on discovery mode for too long. Second, I've tried MS stack, Toshiba, and Blue Soleil. The Wiimote only appears listed with its MAC Adress as a name - It won't appear as Nintendo RVL-CNT-01, or even TR. And when I try to pair it up, it gets a device detection error of course.

Anyone able to shed some light on this?

I assume you know this, but I'll just make sure to cover my bases. The first time you connect the Wii Remote, make sure to go to 'Add a Bluetooth Device' under Hardware and Sound in the Control panel. Then, open up the battery cover and press the Sync button. Eventually, the computer will recognize the remote and click 'Pair without using a code' on the next page. As long as you do this before the remote disconnects (~30 seconds) you should be fine.

Btw, after the first time connecting the remote, you just have to press 1 and 2 and go click Wiimote>Pair Up in Dolphin to connect it.

If you still have problems, all I could figure is that the dongle isn't working properly.

Well of course. I could get it to pair up one time - but then it started installing/uninstalling drivers all the time I tried to refresh on Wiimote. And it isn't even a TR wiimote. Could be the dongle, it probably is; since even my cell phone picks up the Wiimote. For one thing, the dongle recognizes my cell phone but doesn't recognizes my Wiimote. So yeah, it's probably the dongle. I'll experiment with another wiimote and different dongles. Thanks for helping, anyway!

What dongle did you get?
Also, is that a first or third-party Wiimote you've bought?
