Get the Wii menu (either from a NAND dump, from the update partition of a game or the NUS downloader), run it in windowed mode, and adjust the sensor bar position and the IR sensitivity in Dolphin until it works properly.

The latency could be caused by interference with the Bluetooth. Make sure that the dongle is in the open if possible.
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X
RAM: 16GB
GPU: Radeon Vega 56

Alright thanks I'll try that.
I really hope it's not the location of the bluetooth dongle that's causing problems, that won't be easy to fix, I only have usb room on the back of my computer where it is.

You could get an extension cable for your USB.

Yeah I know, but that looks tacky as fuck, I have enough cables on my desk, and I wanted to do this without spending more money.
